V’Asbos Vineyards was founded in 2012 by three partners brought together by a shared passion for wine, a deep love for Assos, and a strong belief in the region’s potential as a world-class wine terroir.

Founded in 2012 by three partners who share a passion for wine and a deep love for Assos, V’Asbos set out to create a truly boutique wine experience rooted in this land. Our vineyards do more than produce wine-they preserve and express the cultural and epicurean heritage of Assos.

V’Asbos defines itself as “the meticulous gardener of god given terruar.” Our vineyards are tended like a garden, with each plant cultivated according to its individual needs, and mass harvesting deliberately avoided. This philosophy safeguards the purity and balanced structure of our wines.

Each year, we produce just 25,000 bottles, composed of 4–5 distinct micro-cuvées. Our wines are aged in clay amphorae, glass globes, and selected oak barrels, allowing their natural aromas and character to remain intact. Every bottle is individually labeled as part of this limited production, reflecting the singular terroir of Assos.

V’Asbos Vineyards are located in the Northern Aegean, on the hills of ancient Assos, directly facing the island of Lesbos. This landscape, shaped by constant winds and open horizons, gives our wines their distinctive character. The spirit of V’Asbos lies within the terroir of Assos and in our vineyards rising across from Lesbos.

Each bottle carries the influence of Assos’s volcanic soils, the Aegean–Mediterranean climate, and the winds blowing from the island of Lesbos across the water. The wines emerge as pure expressions-unoverworked, reflecting only the essence of the vineyard and the spirit of the terroir. V’Asbos’s winery is a work integrated into the landscape itself, where every intervention is guided by artistic intent. From the labels to the tasting room, every detail reveals an aesthetic union of nature and human craftsmanship.

The Assos terroir benefits from the Mediterranean climate of the Northern Aegean, softened by abundant sunshine and cooling breezes.

The volcanic soils give our wines a mineral backbone, adding length and structure while supporting the ripe grapes’ vibrant fruit aromas. Finally, the signature “garrigue” notes of our wines emerge on the finish.

These complex flavors evoke the scents of dry herbs and aromatic shrubs native to Mediterranean vegetation, released into the air as the soil cools at sunset.

A production approach that respects the nature of wine.

Stoneware vessels like amphorae are ideal to respect the fruitiness and the complex aromas of the grapes. That is why they are ideal to produce smooth, mineral, fresh , balanced wines. 🌿

At V’Asbos Estate we have chosen to age our wines for several years in amphorae. This way you candiscover the original taste of a wine which has preserved its authentic ,natural aromas.
